Robert Liberty

Robert Liberty is a seasoned expert in land use planning, transportation planning, and urban sustainability with extensive experience across various high-profile roles. As the Sole Proprietor of Robert Liberty Consulting LLC since January 2020, Robert provides consulting services in land use regulations and accessory dwelling units, among other topics. Currently serving as Chairperson of the Columbia Gorge Commission and a Strategic Partner at Cascadia Partners, Robert has a rich history of leadership in sustainable initiatives, having directed the Institute for Sustainable Solutions and the Urban Sustainability Accelerator at Portland State University. Previous roles include Executive Director of the Sustainable Cities Initiative at the University of Oregon, Metro Councilor for the Portland regional government, and Senior Counsel for Congressman Earl Blumenauer. Robert's educational background includes a JD from Harvard Law School and a Master's degree from the University of Oxford.
