Junwei Yue

Junwei Yue has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. They started their career as a Financial Service Representative Intern at Huaxia Bank, China, where they pitched opportunities to potential clients and assisted with corporate loan contracting process. Later, they worked as an Administrative Assistant Intern at Ping An Insurance Group, where they designed and planned meetings for employee rewards and conducted interviews for top performing employees.

After that, Junwei joined Penn State University, Department of Research Accounting, as an Accounting and Financial Assistant, where they performed payment matching, prepared financial reports, and assisted with annual audits. They also worked as a Campus Dining Student Employee, coordinating food supply and preparation.

Junwei then gained experience at Tesla as an Analyst, Parts and Distribution, where they used Excel and Tableau to develop analytical tools and optimize distribution routes. They also worked as a Nursing Research Assistant at UPMC, designing surveys and analyzing data to improve nursing training outcomes.

At UPMC Health Plan, they served as a Data Analyst, supporting grant-funded projects targeting opioid use disorder and conducting data analysis for evaluation. They also provided support to projects related to social determinants of health.

Later, Junwei joined the University of Pittsburgh Clinical and Translational Science Institute as a Data Analyst, creating and presenting Tableau dashboards to analyze participant demographics and study status. They also performed quality assurance on the database and identified missing data sources.

Currently, Junwei is working at Castell as a Senior Technical Data Analyst, where they provide analytical support for value-based care initiatives and use SQL and Tableau to create various dashboards. They also collaborate with data managers and architects to execute data validation plans.

Junwei Yue has a Master's Degree in Health Informatics from the University of Pittsburgh, which they obtained from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Penn State University, attending from 2015 to 2016. Additionally, they pursued General Education Study in Business/Commerce, General from The University of Alabama from 2013 to 2014.
