Christina Courtney has extensive experience in education, primarily serving as a Middle School Life Science Teacher, Middle School Computer Science Teacher, and Makerspace Teacher at Castilleja School since 2007. Christina developed a differentiated life science curriculum emphasizing design thinking and inquiry-based learning. Additionally, Christina has coached water polo and swimming at both the upper and middle school levels. Previous roles include working as a Charitable Outreach Contractor for PhilanthroPal, a Curriculum Evaluator for WestEd, and Site Director and Math Teacher for Peninsula Bridge. Christina's early experiences include a student teaching role at Summit Preparatory Charter High School, an internship at St. Louis Children's Hospital in a genetics lab, and experience managing simulations in medical education at the Center for Advance Pediatric Education. Christina holds a Master's Degree in Secondary Education from Stanford University and a Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences and Educational Studies from Washington University in St. Louis.
