Brian Arneson

Brian Arneson is a seasoned product manager with extensive experience in the education technology sector. Currently at CATALYSTedu since February 2018, Brian previously held significant roles including Director of Learning and Assessment at Macmillan Learning from January 2015 to January 2018, where the focus was on assessment platforms and learning management systems. Brian also served as Director of Product at Sapling Learning, leading an agile product management team responsible for eBook, Homework, and Mobile App products post-acquisition by Macmillan New Ventures. In earlier roles at Sapling Learning, Brian transitioned from a content developer to Director of Digital Publishing, during the company's evolution from a publishing services provider to a competitive education technology startup. Brian's career began at the University of Texas at Austin, where responsibilities included coordinating a web-based chemistry program for high school students and developing an online chemistry course as a graduate student. Brian holds a PhD in Chemical Education from the University of Texas at Austin and a degree from Michigan Technological University.
