Eric Barnachea has a diverse and extensive work experience in the culinary industry. Eric started their career as a Sous Chef at Doubletree Hotel in 1986 and later worked as an Executive Sous Chef at Hilton Worldwide. In 1996, they joined Bon Appétit Management Company as an Executive Chef and was eventually promoted to the position of campus Executive Chef at Cisco Systems.
In 2002, Eric became the Executive Chef at Catered Too and showcased their skills in managing culinary operations. Eric later worked as a General Manager at Guckenheimer, leading a team to acquire a significant business deal with Sun Micro Systems.
Moving forward, Eric joined Bon Appétit Management Company again in 2006 as an Executive Chef/General Manager. Eric oversaw the development of food programs and menus, directly leading a team and serving 2000 meals daily at multiple locations. Eric left this position in 2013 to work as a Corporate Executive Chef at Imagine Culinary Group.
In 2014, Eric served as the Second Vice President of the Board of Directors at the American Culinary Federation San Francisco Chapter. Eric then returned to Catered Too! in 2015, initially holding the role of Corporate Executive Chef. Eventually, they served as the Chief Executive Officer and is currently the Owner/CEO of the company.
Eric Barnachea attended The Culinary Institute of America from 2013 to 2014, where they obtained a CEIP (Culinary Enrichment and Innovation Program) degree in the field of Culinary Enrichment and Innovation. Additionally, they also have some education history at the California Culinary Academy and the Culinary Institute of America @ Greystone, although specific dates and degree information are not provided.
