Frankie Chan has had a diverse range of work experience in various companies and positions. Frankie started their career in 2002 as an Associate Lecturer in Statistics at Macquarie University. Frankie then worked as an Analyst at Finity Consulting from 2004 to 2006, and subsequently as a Team Leader, Insurance Modelling at QBE Insurance from 2006 to 2008. From 2008 to 2013, Frankie worked at Commonwealth Bank of Australia, first as a Motor Pricing Actuary at CommInsure, and then as an Executive Manager - Retail Price Modelling, Retail Banking Services. In 2011, they also served as the Chief Examiner for Course 3B General Insurance at Actuaries Institute. In 2013, they joined Ageas Insurance Company (Asia) Limited as the Head of General Insurance & Customer Analytics, Asia, a position they held until 2017. During this time, from 2016 to 2017, Frankie also served as the Head of Insurance Risk Management at Etiqa Insurance and Takaful. Since 2017, Frankie has been at Cathay Pacific, where they have held various positions including Profit Optimization Manager, Asia Miles, Programme Development & Analytics Lead, Asia Miles, Head of Programme Value Optimization, and currently the Head of Programme Value Optimization, Airline & Insurance Partnerships.

Frankie Chan has a Master of Applied Statistics (MAppStat) from Macquarie University and a Bachelor of Commerce (Actuarial Studies) and Bachelor of Science (Statistics) from the same institution. Frankie also has certifications as a Fellow of the Actuarial Society of Hong Kong (FASHK), a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia (FIAA), and a Certified SAFe® 5 Agilist from Scaled Agile, Inc. The years of obtaining the certifications are 2020 (FASHK), 2009 (FIAA), and 2022 (Certified SAFe® 5 Agilist).
