Merrissa Kuylen-Coffer has a diverse work experience history. Merrissa began their career as a Transportation Volunteer Specialist at Catholic Charities Fort Worth in September 2014 and transitioned to the role of Research and Data Specialist in February 2016. In September 2017, they continued to contribute to Catholic Charities Fort Worth's goal to end poverty as a Research Associate, designing research protocols and monitoring their execution. Merrissa was subsequently promoted to the position of Research Manager in January 2018, where they were responsible for designing research protocols, analyzing data, and contributing to stakeholder reporting. In October 2019, Ms. Kuylen-Coffer became an Impact Reporting Manager, ensuring data quality and governance to support consistent and transparent reporting. Merrissa took on the role of Program Manager for Community Care and Short Term Case Management in April 2020, providing operational leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic. In May 2021, they became an Impact Reporting Manager once again, overseeing the agency's social return on investment process. Following this, they served as a Senior Business Systems Manager, acting as the primary liaison between stakeholders and developers to ensure the success of information systems. Currently, Merrissa Kuylen-Coffer holds the position of Director of Data Operations at Catholic Charities Fort Worth. Prior to their work at Catholic Charities Fort Worth, they worked as a Mobility Manager at Texas Christian University from June 2011 to August 2014.

Merrissa Kuylen-Coffer holds a Bachelor's Degree in History, with a focus on Socio-Economic Components of Medieval Warfare, obtained from Catawba College between 2007 and 2010. Merrissa also has a Master's Degree in History, specializing in Economics & Politics on a Geo-Spatial Stage from Texas Christian University, starting in 2012. In 2021, they obtained a certification in Social Impact Management from Efiko Academy.
