Janice Deccio

Janice Deccio is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in public service and communications. As a 4th District City Council member and Mayor for the City of Yakima since January 2022, Janice combines leadership with a strong background in marketing and public relations, previously serving as Director of Marketing at Yakima Regional Medical and Cardiac Center and Director of Marketing and Public Relations at Comprehensive Mental Health. Janice has also worked as a Communications and Events Professional for Catholic Charities Serving Central Washington since February 2015 and held the position of Art Director/Editor at Columbia Publishing. Janice earned a Master’s degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Media/Print Journalism from Central Washington University, along with an Associate of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from Yakima Valley College.
