Erica O'Malley

Erica O'Malley has extensive experience in various leadership roles related to human capital management, culture transformation, and organizational design. Erica is currently serving as the Senior Vice President for People, Values & Culture at Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago, where they are responsible for driving innovation and strategic change within the organization. Prior to that, Erica worked as a Human Capital Management Consultant at Collective Confidence, LLC.

Their previous experience includes a long tenure at Grant Thornton LLP, where they held multiple roles such as Partner, Organizational Strategy Practice Leader, Firmwide People Experience Leader, National Managing Partner for Employee Benefit Plan Audits, and Chicago Employee Benefits Practice Leader. During their time at Grant Thornton LLP, Erica successfully led culture transformation initiatives, championed diversity and inclusion efforts, and implemented changes to the partner promotion and compensation processes. Erica also served as a board member and chaired the people and culture subcommittee responsible for aligning the firm's initiatives with its people and culture strategy.

Before joining Grant Thornton LLP, Erica worked at Arthur Andersen & Co. as a Senior Manager, where they elevated the brand of audit services through the creation of a specialty employee benefits practice. Erica also held roles as an Audit Manager and Audit Staff during their tenure at the company.

Erica O'Malley received a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting from Northern Illinois University in the years 1983-1987. In 1993, they obtained a certification as a Certified Public Accountant from the University of Illinois. Their educational journey also includes attending Harvard Business School Executive Education in 2015 for the program "Making Corporate Board More Effective" and completing executive leadership education at the Graduate School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, under Keenan Flagler.
