Richard Smith

Richard Smith is an experienced educator specializing in English language and literature, currently serving as a Teacher of VCE English at Caulfield Grammar School since January 2024. Previous positions include VCE English Teacher at Ivanhoe Grammar School and Leibler Yavneh College, as well as multiple teaching roles at Ivanhoe Grammar School and Braemar College. Richard has also held leadership positions such as Head of Language Acquisition Faculty at The Kilmore International School and Head of English Additional Language Faculty at Jerudong International School, where significant contributions included establishing English as an Additional Language departments and managing language programs for ESL students. Richard's teaching career began in the Ministry of Education in Brunei Darussalam and Singapore, complemented by extensive experience in drama direction and curriculum development. Richard holds an Honours Degree in English Language and Literature from The University of Adelaide.
