Sara Tanaka

Sara Tanaka is a seasoned professional in the insurance industry with extensive experience in risk management and underwriting. Currently serving as a Member of the Board of Directors at JDRF/FRDJ Canada since July 2024, Sara is also a Founding Partner at Cavell Risk, Inc., focusing on enhancing customer experience within the insurance brokerage sector. Previously, Sara held multiple senior roles at Jones Brown (now Gallagher) from November 2014 to June 2022, specializing in Executive Liability Risk and overseeing risk analysis and insurance program design. Prior experience includes positions as an Account Executive at Travelers, managing professional liability underwriting for financial institutions, and as an Underwriter at Chubb, focusing on property and casualty risks. Sara holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen's University, completed in 2009, and attended St Clement's School from 2001 to 2005.
