Laura Kelly has work experience in various roles and industries. Laura started their career in 2011 as a Sales Assistant at Macpac (Mouton Noir Ltd) until 2013. In 2014, they became a Teaching Assistant at Victoria University of Wellington, where they assisted in various lab courses related to animal diversity, plant biology, global change biology, and environmental science until 2019. From 2015 to 2017, Laura worked as a Divisional Manager at St John New Zealand. Since 2019, they have been working as a Scientist at Cawthron Institute.
Laura Kelly has a strong educational background in ecology and biodiversity. Laura attended Sacred Heart College, Lower Hutt for their high school education from 2006 to 2010. Subsequently, they enrolled at Victoria University of Wellington, where they completed their Bachelor's degree in Ecology and Biodiversity and Environmental Science from 2011 to 2014. Laura then pursued an Honours degree in Ecology and Biodiversity, achieving First Class status, from 2014 to 2015 at the same university. Finally, Laura obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Ecology and Biodiversity from Victoria University of Wellington between 2015 and 2019.
