Klaire Coles

Director, Coronial And Custodial Justice Practice at Caxton Community Legal Centre

Klaire Coles has extensive experience in the legal field, particularly in human rights and civil law. Since January 2017, Klaire has held multiple leadership roles at Caxton Community Legal Centre, including Legal Practice Director, Acting Coordinating Lawyer, and Senior Lawyer, while also directing the Coronial and Custodial Justice Practice. Previously, Klaire served as a Human Rights and Anti-Discrimination Lawyer at Legal Aid Queensland from January 2016 to January 2017, and worked as a Lawyer at Caxton Legal Centre Inc. from July 2008 to January 2016, contributing to the organization's mission to assist low-income and disadvantaged individuals. Earlier experience includes serving as a Program Manager at the Arts Law Centre of Queensland, which provided legal support to artists. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and Bachelor of Arts (BA) from The University of Queensland, and Practical Legal Training from The College of Law Australia.
