Zahra Assar-Nossoni currently serves as the Director of Protein Sciences & Structural Biology at Cayman Chemical, leading efforts in protein research and structural biology since June 2020. Prior roles at Cayman Chemical included Manager of Structural Biology and Biophysical Core, and Scientist II- Lead Structural Biologist, with tenure spanning from February 2017 to March 2020. Zahra's experience in structural biology began as a PhD student at Michigan State University from August 2012 to September 2017, focusing on X-ray crystallography. Additionally, a brief teaching stint as an Organic Chemistry lecturer occurred at the University of Michigan-Dearborn in late 2016. Zahra holds a Ph.D. in Structural Biology from Michigan State University, a Master’s degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from EPFL, and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Sharif University of Technology.
