Shipping Clerk

The Shipping Clerk's main responsibility is to dispatch commercial bag feed delivery trucks at Newport Mills Limited. 

The Shipping Clerk will primarily focus on:

  • Monitoring  the loading of outbound bag feed commercial trucks

  • Answering and managing inbound telephone inquiries

  • Maintaining records

  • Printing transfer orders for shipping

  • Generating truck details and shipping notes by route

  • Running reports from warehouse software as needed

  • Ensuring proper inventory control

  • Assisting the warehouse supervisors

  • Arranging and attending meetings when required

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • At least 5 CXC or GCE subjects including Mathematics and English Language

  • At least two (2) years’ experience in a similar role

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications including Excel, Word
