Emily Garcia

Emily Garcia is a dedicated legal professional with diverse experience in public defense and legal assistance. Currently serving as a Limited License Public Defender at Canyon County since January 2023, Emily previously held the position of Limited License Attorney at Faces of Hope through the University of Idaho College of Law’s Family Justice legal clinic. Additional experience includes a Legal Internship with the Idaho Army National Guard and various roles within Canyon County's Public Defender’s Office, including an internship and a paralegal position. Emily began their career in the legal field as a Law Office Assistant and has also held positions in customer service and general labor. Emily holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Idaho College of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Corrections from Boise State University, complemented by a minor in History.
