Elizabeth Solhtalab

Elizabeth Solhtalab is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in public policy and government relations, currently serving as the Director of the Office of Budget Policy and Appropriations at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention since September 2024. Previously, Elizabeth held the position of Chief Public Policy and Government Relations Officer at Prevent Child Abuse America, where oversight of state and federal policy advocacy and appropriations strategy for the prevention of child abuse and neglect was a primary focus from January 2023 to September 2024. Elizabeth's tenure at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention also included several roles from August 2007 to January 2023, such as Associate Director for Policy and Partnerships and Health Policy Analyst. Elizabeth holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Georgia State University and a Master's degree in Public Administration from Kennesaw State University.
