Michael Lionbarger, MPH, currently serves as the Partnership Lead at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, where responsibilities include identifying and cultivating partnerships across various levels and sectors, particularly in relation to coronavirus and respiratory virus initiatives. Previous roles at the CDC have included Health Policy Analyst, focusing on strategic partnerships and health communication for heart disease and adolescent health, as well as Health Scientist, where expertise in epidemiology related to traumatic brain injury was applied. Lionbarger also gained experience as a Special Assistant to the CDC Director and has held positions in academic advising at The University of Georgia and a health internship at The Coca-Cola Company. Educational achievements include a Master of Public Health and a Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion from The University of Georgia.
