Sonia Sennik

Sonia Sennik serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Creative Destruction Lab (CDL) since October 2017, leading strategic, operational, and programmatic initiatives across 13 locations in Canada, the US, UK, France, Germany, Estonia, and Australia, focusing on scalable science- and technology-based ventures. In addition, Sonia is the Executive Director of the CDL Rapid Screening Consortium, a collaborative initiative aimed at establishing a robust rapid screening system. Sonia hosts and produces the podcast "Connected Intelligence," which explores the interpersonal elements that influence professional success. Furthermore, Sonia founded the Sonia Sennik Resilience Fund at McMaster University's Faculty of Engineering in November 2020 and previously served as the Head Coach for Rugby Ontario Blues Senior Women from 2016 to 2018. Sonia's career includes a significant role as Project & Engineering Manager at Hatch, where a breadth of experience in managing major projects was developed. Educationally, Sonia holds an MBA from the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management and a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Physics from McMaster University.
