Kiyanna Matthews has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Kiyanna started their career as a Patient Access Representative at Aerotek, where they registered patients for appointments within the Cancer Center and maintained medical charts. In 2016, they joined Cedars-Sinai as a Patient Access Representative I and gradually advanced to higher positions, including Patient Access Representative II and III. In these roles, they registered incoming patients, obtained accurate demographic and financial information, and provided guidance and explanations of hospital regulations. In 2019, Kiyanna became a Patient Access Representative IV, specializing in obtaining prior authorization for complex chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatment plans. Kiyanna enrolled patients in research studies, managed data entry, and streamlined prior authorization utilization management. Currently, they serve as the Financial Clearance Team Lead at Cedars-Sinai, overseeing three teams and supporting workflows related to customer service, financial clearance, prior authorizations, and system implementation.
