Richard Austin

Richard Austin has a diverse work experience spanning over several roles and industries. Richard has recently been working as the Head of Information Technology at CEG since April 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Group Head of IT Operations at Avant Homes from September 2015 to April 2022. Richard also has experience as the Managing Director of THE PC HUB LTD from November 2009 to September 2015. Before that, they worked as a Network Manager at Sheffield City Council from September 2003 to November 2009. Richard began their career as an IT Technician, first at Notre Dame High School, Sheffield from June 2002 to July 2003, and then at BS Computers from October 1998 to June 2002. Richard also has past experience as a Financial Advisor, initially at United Friendly Life Assurance Limited from September 1997 to September 1998, and later at Refuge assurance from May 1995 to August 1997.

Richard Austin completed their education in computer science from The Open University from 2001 to 2003. Prior to that, they attended King Ecgbert School from 1985 to 1990. In addition to their formal education, Richard also obtained the APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) from the Association for Project Management in 2019.
