Christopher Steele

Associate Director Biostatistics at Celerion

Christopher Steele has a diverse work experience in the field of biostatistics. Starting in 2013, they worked as a PhD Researcher at Queen's University Belfast, where they focused on developing statistical models for assessing the effects of socioeconomic position on type 2 diabetes in older adults. Additionally, they served as a Statistics Postgraduate Demonstrator during their time at the university. In 2015, Steele worked as a Researcher at the European Institute for Gender Equality and also served as a Visiting Researcher at the National Institute for Health and Welfare and the University of Helsinki in Finland. From 2016 to 2018, they worked as a Biostatistician at Almac Group before joining Celerion in 2018. At Celerion, Steele held various roles, starting as a Biostatistician and later progressing to become a Senior Biostatistician and Manager of Biostatistics.

Christopher Steele attended Queen's University Belfast from 2009 to 2013, where they completed a Master's Degree in Mathematics and Statistics & Operational Research. Prior to that, they studied at Coleraine Academical Institution from 2002 to 2009, but no specific degree or field of study was provided for that period. Additionally, Steele obtained two additional certifications: SAS Programming 1: Essentials from SAS in August 2018 and Statistics 1: Introduction to ANOVA, Regression, and Logistic Regression from SAS in August 2018.
