Octavio Amaral's work experience includes various roles in the field of hardware engineering. Octavio started their career in 1995 at Excel, Inc where they worked as a Sustaining Engineer. Octavio then transitioned to Excel Switching as a Sr. Hardware Design Engineer and later became a Sr. Hardware Engineer at Excel Switching Coorporation. In 1999, they joined Lucent Technologies as a Principle Hardware Engineer. From 2002 to 2007, Octavio worked at Dialogic/Cantata/Brooktrout as a Principle Hardware Engineer, where they were responsible for designing high-availability telecommunications equipment. In 2007, they joined Celerity Embedded Design Services as the Vice President and CTO, overseeing a complete R&D solution for product development outsourcing.
Octavio Amaral attended the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth from 1991 to 1995, where they received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
