Waleed Younis

Waleed Younis is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in ASIC design and system architecture. Currently serving as the Director of ASIC Design and Architecture at Celestial AI since November 2022, Waleed previously held the position of Senior Director of System Design and Software Development at GOODIX Technology INC., where leadership encompassed low power wireless connectivity microcontroller SOCs. Prior roles include Director of Systems Design Engineering at Atmel Corporation, where responsibilities included system design and customer support for wireless SOC chips, and Manager of Systems Engineering at Newport Media, focusing on Analog TV SOCs. Waleed's career began as a Senior Systems Engineer at Qualcomm, specializing in performance simulations for WCDMA systems. Waleed holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from UCLA, as well as an MSc and BSc in Electronics and Communications from Ain Shams University.
