Greg Thouvenin has a diverse work experience spanning from 2014 to 2022. In 2014, they were a Process Development Intern at Ferring Pharmaceuticals and a Sailing Instructor at Les Glénans. In 2015, they were a member of the EPFL iGEM team, where they developed a platform for intracellular computing. In 2016, they began their PhD at UC San Diego, where they developed a large-scale microfluidic platform and novel biosensors for the detection of pollutants in drinking water. In 2018, they were a Conference Coordinator for the Winter Q-Bio conference, where they managed a 200k budget, contract negotiation, social media and sponsorship. In 2021, they joined L.E.K. Consulting as a Senior Life Sciences Specialist, where they provided strategy consulting for a wide range of clients in biotech, biopharma and life science tools companies. Currently, they are the Strategic Ops & Comms Manager at Cellular Longevity, Inc., dba Loyal.
Greg Thouvenin obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Life Sciences and Technology from EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) between 2011 and 2014. Greg then spent a year as an exchange student at Cornell University in 2013-2014, studying Bioengineering. In 2015, Greg began a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Bioengineering at UC San Diego, which they are expected to complete in 2021. Additionally, Greg has obtained a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt from Ferring Pharmaceuticals in March 2015 and an FFV Sailing Instructor certificate from the Fédération Française de Voile in August 2012.
