Marco Sousa

Marco Sousa started their career as an R&D Telecommunications Engineer at Celfinet in March 2015 and later became a Research Lead in November 2017. In September 2023, they transitioned to become an Assistant Professor at ISEL - Instituto Superior De Engenharia De Lisboa.

Marco Sousa obtained their Bachelor's degree in Electronic and Telecommunications Engineering from Universidade da Madeira in 2014. Marco then pursued a Master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering at ISEL - Instituto Superior De Engenharia De Lisboa, graduating in 2016. Marco went on to complete their Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Instituto Superior Técnico in 2022. In addition to their formal education, Marco also obtained certifications in Machine Learning and a Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) in 2017 and 2023, respectively.
