Steve Mesa has a long and varied work experience. Steve began their career in 1997 as an Executive Chef at Birk's Restaurant, where they were responsible for menu planning/execution, purchasing, cost-control, staffing, training, and facilities maintenance. Steve then moved on to The Cheesecake Factory, where they were a Kitchen Manager and was corporate trained in a very high volume restaurant chain. In 2003, they became the Executive Chef at Stanford University Dining Services, where they designed and supervised operation of large-scale commercial foodservice facilities. In 2002, they took a career sabbatical to raise their two children, one of whom has special needs. Steve then returned to the workforce in 2018 as a Sourcing & Recruiting Specialist at NetApp. In 2019, they became a Recruiter at Bloom Energy, where they were responsible for hiring across the company. Finally, in 2021, they joined CelLink Corporation as a Recruiter, where they are currently hiring across a wide range of disciplines.
Steve Mesa received their BA in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley, and their AOS in Culinary Arts from The Culinary Institute of America.
