Amy Sim

Amy Sim has a diverse work experience in the field of accounting. Amy started their career in 1996 at Paychex, where they worked as a Distribution Specialist and Computer Operator. In this role, they were responsible for printing payroll and tax returns, assisting with budgeting, and reconciling vendor invoices.

In 1999, Amy joined the Milard Group/Moss Motors, Inc. as a Staff Accountant and Foreign Accounts Payable. Amy worked in this position until 2000.

From 2000 to 2001, Amy worked at Fidelity National Financial as a Corporate Branch Accountant. Their responsibilities included analyzing financial information, interpreting balance sheet items, and reconciling disbursements and cash receipts for 15 counties.

In 2001, Amy transitioned to CenCal Health, where they held various roles over the years. Amy started as a Senior Financial Analyst/Financial Analyst, where they completed rate development, prepared financial filings, and analyzed the administrative budget for the Healthy Families and AIM programs. Later, they became the General Accounting Manager, leading a team of six employees and overseeing payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Amy also maintained financials and supervised staff for the MSSP program and prepared and analyzed the administration budget.

Amy's most recent role at CenCal Health was as the Interim Director of Finance, from 2018 to 2019. In this position, they prepared audited financial statements, ensured the accuracy of accounting systems, and managed daily cash balances.

Amy Sim, CSAF, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Cal State East Bay- College of Business & Economics, which they obtained from 1996 to 1999. Prior to that, they completed their Associate of Arts degree in General Education from Las Positas College between 1994 and 1996. Amy further received certification as a Certified Specialist Accounting and Finance (CSAF) from the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) in May 2022.
