Amy Grothaus Turner is a Senior Director of Human Resources Operations at Cengage. Amy has over 20 years of experience in human resources, with a focus on consulting and coaching.
Amy started their career at HR Partners International, Inc. in 1991. Amy quickly rose through the ranks, becoming a Vice President and Senior Consultant. In this role, they provided clients with strategic, creative, and tactical expertise to help them achieve their goals. Amy was also responsible for training and development, recruiting, and placement.
In 2008, Amy joined Cengage as a Sr. Director of Human Resources Operations. In this role, they oversee the day-to-day operations of the human resources department and provides strategic guidance to the executive team. Amy has been instrumental in developing and implementing process improvements and has helped Cengage navigate through several organizational changes.
Amy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources from XYZ University and is a Certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). Amy is an active member of SHRM and has served on the board of directors for several non-profit organizations.
Amy Grothaus Turner, SPHR has a B.A. with honors in Pre-personnel and Industrial Relations from the University of Cincinnati, and is certified from SHRM in SHRM-SCP and from HRCI - Senior Professional in Human Resources in SHRM - Senior Certified Professional. Amy also has a certification from Milford Sr High School.
