Jim Lytle is an accomplished electrical engineer with extensive experience in managing electrical engineering operations. Currently serving as the Manager of Electrical Engineering at Cenovus Energy since May 2012, Jim oversees electrical OPEX drivers, compliance with AESO ARS and Alberta Safety Codes Council, and ensures the reliability and safety of electrical systems for generation, transmission, and distribution. Additionally, Jim holds a role as Chair of the Safety Codes Committee at the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers since October 2017. Previous positions include managerial and supervisory roles at FortisAlberta, where significant improvements in customer satisfaction and operational efficiencies were achieved, and an early role as Electrical Utility EIT at Central Alberta Rural Electrification Association. Jim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alberta, completed in 2004.
