Spiros Thanasoulas

Spiros Thanasoulas is an experienced security engineer currently working at CENSUS since August 2020, specializing in penetration testing. Thanasoulas serves as a senior software engineer in the computer security lab at the University of Memphis from October 2021 to October 2024. Prior experience includes a role as a software engineer at Colorado State University, where significant contributions were made to projects such as a 40+ Gbit flow creation tool and DDoS detection and mitigation platform. Previous positions include software engineering at Image Access Corporation and an undergraduate research assistantship focused on network security at the Foundation for Research and Technology - Hellas. Additionally, Thanasoulas served as a second lieutenant in the Greek Army. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, a PhD (ABD) in Physics from Queen's University Belfast, and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of Crete.
