Catherine Chen

Catherine Chen serves as the Director of Equitable Learning, Health & Wellness at Centennial College since March 2022, where responsibilities include leading the Mental Health and Wellness Strategy, overseeing portfolio operations, managing financial resources, and co-chairing the Sexual Violence Task Force. Catherine has maintained a private psychotherapy practice since September 2018, employing an eclectic approach to individual counseling. Previous roles at Centennial College include Acting Manager of the Centre for Accessible Learning and Counselling Services, where management of service delivery and departmental operations was key, along with experience as a Coordinator of Intake and Scheduling and a Counsellor. Prior positions also include Project Coordinator at Reconnect Mental Health Services and Case Manager/Mental Health Worker, along with a practicum at George Brown College. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Waterloo.
