Manail Anis Ahmed has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. In 2008, they worked as an Academic Programs Consultant for the Textile Institute of Pakistan & National Textile Foundation. From 2008 to 2009, they served as the Founding Manager of the Fulbright Commission Office at the US Department of State, where they launched and managed educational advising and admissions counseling services.
In 2009, Manail joined Effat University where they initially worked as the Director for Curriculum Development and later became the Senior Grants Specialist at the Research & Consultancy Institute. Their responsibilities included managing grants, establishing research centers, and overseeing grant administration and interactions with grantees.
In 2014, Manail joined Habib University as the Founding Head of Global Resource Development, where they contributed to the establishment of a US-based 501(c)3 organization for the university and facilitated joint programming with Texas A&M University.
From 2015 to 2021, Manail held senior positions at the Prince Mohammad Bin Salman College of Business & Entrepreneurship and Emaar, The Economic City. Their roles involved strategic planning, financial management, curriculum development, and establishing academic and entrepreneurial ecosystems.
In 2021, Manail became an Investment Committee Member for ELIF - EdTech & Learning Innovation Fund, a venture fund focusing on the education and skills industry in Asia.
In 2022, they joined the Center for AI and Digital Policy as a Research Group Member and later became the Research Group Team Lead. Manail also joined iJuno as the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) & AI Governance Lead.
Their most recent work experience is as a Visiting Faculty member at Princeton University, starting in 2023.
