Aren Castro

Associate Director, Design And Neighborhood Equity at Center for Court Innovation

Aren Castro has a diverse work experience in the fields of design and architecture. They started their career as a Teaching Assistant at Florida Atlantic University in 2017. In 2018, they worked as a Graphic Designer at the same university. From 2014 to 2018, Aren served as an Architectural Intern at Synalovski Romanik Saye LLC, where they assisted in various architectural and urban design projects. In 2019, they worked as a Junior Architectural/Urban Designer at BROOKS + SCARPA ARCHITECTS and later as a Project Designer at The Street Plans Collaborative until 2023. They then joined Urban Design Forum as a Fellow and later became a Forefront Fellow. Currently, Aren is serving as the Associate Director of Design and Neighborhood Equity at the Center for Justice Innovation.

Aren Castro completed their high school education at Atlantic Technical College, receiving a High School Diploma in Architectural Engineering from 2010 to 2014. They also pursued higher education at Florida Atlantic University, earning a Bachelor of Architecture degree.
