Gabriel Nicholas is a seasoned policy analyst with a focus on artificial intelligence, currently serving as a Senior Policy Analyst at the National Telecommunications and Information Administration since September 2024. In addition, Gabriel holds the position of Senior Policy Analyst and Resident Research Fellow at the Center for Democracy & Technology since July 2021. Previously, Gabriel contributed to academia as a Fellow at both the Information Law Institute and Center for Cybersecurity at New York University School of Law from July 2019 to August 2024, as well as a Fellow at the Engelberg Center on Innovation Law & Policy. Earlier experience includes roles as a Mobile App Developer at Flickr and a Software Engineer at Yahoo. Gabriel earned a Master’s Degree in Information Management and Systems from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Science in Cognitive and Brain Science from Tufts University.
