Tarik Daniels is a seasoned professional in mental health and community advocacy with extensive experience in peer support roles. Currently serving as the Assistant Director of Peer Advocacy at ASHwell, Tarik manages a Peer Support Team focused on supporting clients living with HIV. As the Practice Administrator at the Center for Health Empowerment, responsibilities include overseeing various health initiatives related to sexual health, HIV prevention, and clinical management. Tarik is also the Executive Director and Founder of WHATSINTHEMIRROR, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting mental health awareness and suicide prevention within marginalized communities. Additionally, Tarik holds a position as a City Commissioner for the City of Austin. Previous roles include Assistant Practice Administrator at Ascension and General Manager at Goodwill Central Texas. Tarik is a graduate of Bowling Green State University, holding a Bachelor of Science in Political Science/International Studies.
