Alton Jones

Alton joined CHD in 2022. He was most recently a network specialist and program coordinator for the Department of Children and Families (DCF) in Springfield, where he was responsible for capacity building and recruitment, quality assurance, and technical assistance and training for the past 16 years. Prior to that, he served DCF in several roles, including child-at-risk hotline investigator and social worker.

Before his work with DCF, Alton was a residential caseworker for the western Massachusetts office of the Key Program, a social services agency with locations in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Alton is a licensed social worker who earned an associate degree in general studies at Springfield Technical Community College, a bachelor degree in Behavioral Sciences at the University of Maine at Fort Kent, and a master’s degree in human services at Springfield College.
