Randy Rose

Vice President, Security Operations & Intelligence at Center for Internet Security

Randy Rose has extensive work experience in cybersecurity and IT roles. Randy currently serves as the Senior Director of Security Operations & Intelligence at the Center for Internet Security, where they lead multiple operational teams. Prior to this, they held positions such as the Senior Director of Intelligence and Cyber Liaison Services and the Director of Intelligence at the same organization.

Before joining the Center for Internet Security, Randy worked as the Defensive Cyber Operations Manager at DISA, leading SOC teams responsible for real-time analytics, fusion analysis, countermeasures, and capability development and deployment. Randy also served as the Director of Cybersecurity at Tasman Consulting and held various roles in the US Navy, including Deputy Department Head and Division Officer.

Additionally, Randy has experience in network security engineering, information systems security, and IT support roles at organizations like Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters, General Dynamics Information Technology, NY Air National Guard, New York Office of the State Comptroller, and Maintech.

Randy Rose has a diverse education history. In 2023, they attended Tuck Executive Education at Dartmouth for their Advanced Management Program. Prior to that, in 2020, they obtained a Master of Science degree in Strategic Intelligence from the National Intelligence University. In 2014 to 2015, they pursued a Master's degree in Cybersecurity from the University of Maryland Global Campus. Earlier, from 2008 to 2013, Randy earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biological Anthropology and Political Science from the University at Albany, SUNY.

Randy also has several certifications. Randy obtained the GIAC Strategic Planning, Policy, and Leadership (GSTRT) certification from GIAC Certifications in February 2023. In December 2021, they obtained the GIAC Cyber Threat Intelligence certification. In 2018, Randy became a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) through (ISC)². Additionally, they hold certifications from GIAC Certifications in Reverse Engineering Malware (GREM) and has achieved the CHFI certification from EC-Council. Randy also has a Security+ certification from CompTIA.
