Gabriela Oviedo Perhavec is a highly experienced legal professional specializing in human rights and international law. Currently serving as the Human Mobility Project Coordinator and Attorney at the Center for Justice and International Law since August 2020, Gabriela has a robust background including a role as Legal Advisor to Prof. Patrícia Galvão Teles at the United Nations International Law Commission. Previous experience includes producing legal reports on human rights concerns at UNHR Geneva, coordinating human rights communications at Observatorio de Derechos y Justicia, and acting as a Protection Specialist for the Ecuadorian Ombudsman with UNHCR. Gabriela has also contributed to significant litigation efforts regarding refugee rights and has served in various capacities in Ecuador's legal institutions and universities. Gabriela holds a Master of Laws in International Law from the University of Michigan Law School and a law degree from Universidad San Francisco de Quito.
