Kathleen Balazs

Kathleen Balazs is an experienced ecological professional currently serving as the Preserve Manager at the Center For Natural Lands Management since August 2021. Prior to this role, Kathleen held positions as a Graduate Research Assistant at Northern Arizona University from August 2016 to May 2021, and as a Research Assistant at the Center for Environmental Biology, UC Irvine from October 2012 to May 2016. Additionally, Kathleen worked as a Research and Monitoring Technician at Irvine Ranch Conservancy from April 2012 to May 2016, focusing on vegetation data collection across various large ecological restoration sites in Orange County, including Coastal Sage Scrub, Grassland, and Oak Woodland habitats. Kathleen earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biology from Northern Arizona University between 2016 and 2021 and holds a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz, obtained in 2011.
