Reay Maxwell

Reay Maxwell has extensive experience in puppetry and the performing arts, currently serving as Assistant Producer at the Center for Puppetry Arts since October 2000, while also performing as a Resident Puppeteer in multiple in-house productions each season. Prior roles include Instructor of Creative Expression at DeKalb County Sheriff's Department from March 2012 to May 2022, and Actor within the Atlanta Theatre Community from 1999 to 2011. Reay held the position of Artistic Director for the 2009 National Festival with Puppeteers of America and co-founded Curious Moon Puppet Theatre, serving as Artistic Director from 2001 to 2006. Additional experience includes roles with KittyBoy Productions, Hormel Foods, Universal Studios, and performing as a puppeteer at Busch Gardens. Reay holds a Master of Arts in Puppet Arts from the University of Connecticut and has participated in the Drama Therapy Institute of Los Angeles.
