Lukas Balsevicius

Lukas Balsevicius is a PhD student specializing in Cancer Immunology at the University of Copenhagen, with a research background in bioinformatics and neuroscience. At the Center for Surgical Science since April 2021, Balsevicius collaborates on significant projects, previously contributing as a graduate student assistant at the Center of Advanced European Studies and Research where neuron tracing in electron microscopy datasets was a key responsibility. Prior experience includes a Master's thesis project in the Department of Genomics & Immunoregulation at the LIMES Institute in Bonn and roles at various esteemed institutions including an internship focused on biophysics at Semmelweis University and biomaterial engineering at Baltic Orthoservice. Balsevicius holds a Master's degree in Biochemistry from the University of Bonn and a Bachelor's degree in Materials Science with a focus on Biomaterials from Kaunas University of Technology.
