Chris Petersen

Chris Petersen has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and architecture. Chris has worked as a Sr. Principal Software Engineer at Center since 2021. Prior to that, they were a Principal Software Engineer at PANDA AI from 2020 to 2021. From 2018 to 2020, they served as a Senior Software Engineer at Xinova, where they played a key role in designing and implementing a "global market network" platform. Chris also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at MetaBrite from 2016 to 2018, where they contributed to the development of a distributed OCR and data extraction system. Chris has experience in building mobile experiences as a Sr. Applied Architect at Nordstrom from 2015 to 2016. Chris has also held leadership positions at RealPage and ActiveBuilding, where they oversaw development teams and led the transition to modern web applications. Chris is a founding board member of Schedules Direct, a nonprofit corporation providing TV listings data. Chris has a strong background in various programming languages and technologies, such as PHP, Perl, SOAP, CSS, Javascript, Python, C#, and CoffeeScript.

Chris Petersen earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Philosophy from Whitman College, where they studied from 1995 to 1999. Following this, they pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Social Sciences (Anthropology) at the University of Chicago, where they completed their studies from 2000 to 2001.
