Eric Easton, Ph.D., P.E., is a seasoned executive in the energy sector, currently serving as Vice President of Grid Transformation & Investment Strategy at CenterPoint Energy since October 2007. Easton has held various leadership roles, including Vice President of High-Voltage & Real-Time Operations, where there has been a focus on real-time electricity operations in Texas and Indiana and advancing technological systems. Prior experience includes directing transmission control center operations, managing substation engineering, and leading initiatives in asset management and transmission protection. Educational qualifications consist of a Ph.D. in Systems Engineering from Texas Tech University, an MBA in Consulting from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, and a BSEE in Electrical Engineering from Prairie View A&M University.
