Shelley Smith

Shelley Smith, MSHRM, is a seasoned human resources professional with extensive experience in payroll management and HR generalist roles. Currently serving as the Director of Payroll at Centex Business Solutions since August 2023, Shelley has successfully directed a team of payroll specialists, managing the onboarding of over 100 clients and developing expertise in multi-state payroll processing. Prior to this position, Shelley worked at Envases as a Human Resources Generalist, where contributions included establishing a corporate culture in a start-up environment, spearheading HRIS and 401k implementations, and resolving employee relations grievances. Shelley has also held roles at Magnolia, focusing on payroll processing and employee relations, and began a career as a Sales Coordinator at Waukesha-Pearce Industries. Shelley holds a Master's degree in Human Resources Management from Tarleton State University and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Texas State University.
