Val Petrov

Val Petrov has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. They started their career at PIKA Technologies in 2006 as a Software Developer. They then worked as an IT Developer at TD Securities in 2007, followed by a role as an Application Developer at TD Securities in 2008. In 2009, they joined Nebo Systems, Inc. as a Senior Application Developer. They then worked as a Senior Software Engineer-Director at Trading Machines LLC from 2010 to 2011.

Val Petrov joined Bloomberg LP in 2011 as a Senior Software Developer in the MBS Structuring (STRU) team. They worked in this role until 2015 when they transitioned to the role of Senior Software Engineer in the Big Data Platform team. In 2016, Val Petrov worked as the Technology CTO at Vayoola.

In 2017, Val Petrov joined Millennium Management as a Senior Software Engineer. After a year, they moved to Schonfeld as a Lead Engineer in Portfolio Management. At Schonfeld, they also held the position of SecMaster Team Lead from 2020 to 2022.

Currently, Val Petrov is working at Centiva Capital as a Data Warehouse Lead, starting in November 2022.

Val Petrov completed a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo from 2003 to 2008.
