Andrew Chan

Andrew Chan has a diverse work experience in the financial industry. Andrew started their career at HSBC in 2005 as a Senior Consultant, specializing in Payments and Cash Management projects. During their time at HSBC, they focused on integrating Fundtech's Global PayPlus with HSBC's core banking platform.

In 2013, Andrew joined Central 1 as a Business Analyst, where they played a key role in the development of the MemberDirect digital banking SAAS platform. Andrew later became a Senior Business Analyst, responsible for the Public Website of the Forge program. Andrew worked closely with a design agency and pilot credit union to launch the platform.

In 2019, Andrew was promoted to Senior Product Manager at Central 1 and led a team of Product Owners in building Forge, Central 1's new Digital Banking platform. Andrew successfully delivered the retail banking experience, including the public website, responsive web online banking, and mobile apps. In their current role as Product Director, Andrew is responsible for the Retail Banking on Forge, leading a team of product owners and working closely with clients and stakeholders to identify high-level requirements and prioritize work.

Throughout their career, Andrew has demonstrated strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a focus on delivering innovative solutions in the digital banking industry.

Andrew Chan completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from The University of British Columbia, from 1997 to 2002. Andrew then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the same university, from 2002 to 2004.
