Heather Merry

Heather Merry, SCMP®, is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in stakeholder engagement and corporate communications. Currently serving as Senior Manager, Communications at Central 1 since April 2024, Heather has held various leadership roles in organizations such as BCI and Calluna Communication Strategies. Notably, Heather spent seven years at Central 1, where responsibilities included strategic communications planning, relationship building with credit union leaders, and crisis communication management. Previous experience includes senior positions at Westport, where Heather oversaw corporate communications during a period of rapid growth, and roles that engaged with investors and internal stakeholders. Educational achievements include a Public Relations Diploma from the University of Victoria and a Bachelor of Arts from Thompson Rivers University, complemented by leadership training in organizational leadership.
