Ian Prinsloo has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several industries. Ian has held various leadership roles throughout their career, including Director of Treasury Technology at Central 1 Credit Union, where they led an Agile software development team and implemented a continuous improvement mindset. Prior to this, they worked at the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia as the Director of Business Insights, leading a team of over 35 staff in business intelligence and analytics. Ian also served as the Global Enterprise Architect at HSBC, where they strategically created and directed Enterprise Architecture activities worldwide. Additionally, they owned and directed the specialized Enterprise Architecture Consulting and Training firm, Omnipact, and established a new division at Real IRM Solutions to focus on enterprise architecture training and certification. Ian also served as the CIO and Head of Technology at Rand Merchant Bank, overseeing the investment banking IT portfolio and leading a 100-person technology group. Ian began their career at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), where they managed and delivered IT development, process improvement, and strategy consulting projects across multiple industries. Ian Prinsloo holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, which they obtained from Wits Business School between 1998 and 2001. During their MBA program, they specialized in Financial Derivatives, Corporate Finance, Advanced IT, Economics, Marketing, Operations, and other related subjects. Prior to their MBA, Ian completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree in Computer Science, Computational and Applied Mathematics from the University of the Witwatersrand. Ian attended this university from 1989 to 1992. In addition to their academic credentials, Ian Prinsloo also earned a Lean Green Belt certification from Lean Sensei International in April 2016.
