Mohamed Amer

Mohamed Amer is the current Assistant Sub Governor of Banking Operations Sector at the Central Bank of Egypt. Mohamed has over a decade of experience in transformation and change management, most recently serving as the Transformation & Change Managment Assistant General Manager at Bank Audi from June 2006 to April 2017. In this role, they were responsible for defining the scope of projects in collaboration with senior management, determining objectives and measures, monitoring progress, and making adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion. Mohamed also established communication schedules to update stakeholders on progress and coordinated internal resources and third parties/vendors for project execution. In addition, Amer performed risk management to minimize project risks and provided mentoring, coaching and direction setting to team members and project managers.

Prior to their work at Bank Audi, Amer served in various roles at the Central Bank of Egypt from 2004 to 2006. In these roles, they were responsible for leading the integration for short and long-term strategy development, providing a governance structure to ensure accountability, and enabling the predictability of outcomes for each transformation initiative.

Mohamed Amer has a Bachelor's degree in Business/Commerce from Cairo University and a Master's degree in Banking and Risk Management from Paris ESLSCA Business School. Mohamed is also certified by the Project Management Institute in PMP.
